Chimege Writer is Mongolia’s first AI-driven speech-to-text platform, designed to convert audio and video content into editable Mongolian text. It enables students, journalists, and professionals to transcribe voice recordings with speed and accuracy, drastically reducing manual effort. My role was to lead the product’s UI/UX design from initial research to launch, ensuring a seamless and trustworthy experience across both web and mobile.

Designing Chimege Writer came with challenges that went beyond typical SaaS UX. The biggest was making AI-generated output feel trustworthy and transcripts are never perfect, and users needed a way to quickly spot, navigate, and correct errors in long blocks of text without losing their place or feeling overwhelmed. We also had to design entirely new interaction patterns for features like speaker tagging and filler word detection, with no existing Mongolian SaaS products to reference. On top of that, enterprise users like court stenographers and government officials had zero tolerance for ambiguity, the interface had to feel precise, professional, and reliable from day one.

Chimege Writer launched as Mongolia's first AI speech-to-text platform, achieving 96–97% Mongolian recognition accuracy, a benchmark that put it on par with Google's English recognition, and significantly ahead of what enterprise users in legal and government sectors typically accept. Within weeks of release, 30+ enterprise clients had adopted the platform, including courts and government services, validating that a well-designed transcript editing experience could eliminate hours of manual documentation work. For industries like legal transcription where precision is non-negotiable, Chimege Writer set an entirely new standard for Mongolian language technology.
